The No. 15 Dartmouth men’s hockey team secured a 3-1 win against Vermont, improving their season record to 6-1-1. Oskari Vuorio scored his first collegiate goal assisted by CJ Foley in the first period. John Fusco added to the lead in the second period with a goal. Vermont managed to score on the power play in the third period, but Dartmouth quickly responded with another goal by Foley, securing the win.
Emmett Croteau made 21 saves, earning his third win of the season. Foley, Cooper Flinton, and Nikita Nikora extended their point streaks to seven games. This victory marks the first time since 2007 that Dartmouth has defeated Vermont in Burlington and the first back-to-back wins against Vermont in over a decade.
Dartmouth will return to ECAC play at Thompson Arena on Friday against St. Lawrence, followed by a game against Clarkson the next night. Both games are set to start at 7 p.m. This win against Vermont continues Dartmouth’s strong start to the season, with high hopes for continued success in upcoming games.
