The Vermont Secretary of State’s Office is launching a new and improved online voter guide for the upcoming election cycle. This year, voters will have access to both a statewide version and a personalized version of the guide, making it easier to understand the candidates and issues on their specific ballot. The personalized guide only includes candidates that will appear on an individual’s ballot, while the statewide guide allows for searching candidates by name or district. All federal, statewide, and legislative candidates were invited to submit a photo, statement, and contact information to be included in the guide.
Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas emphasized that since Vermont has adopted universal vote-by-mail, voters have more time to research their ballots, and the voter guide will aid in making informed choices on Election Day. The guide also helps voters determine which district they are in. The guide can be accessed on the “My Voter” page of the Secretary of State’s website, providing a convenient and easy-to-use resource for Vermont voters. This initiative aims to enhance voter education and engagement, ensuring that voters have the information they need to confidently participate in the upcoming election.
