Michelle Zajko, the daughter of a slain Delaware County couple, was recently arrested in Maryland along with two others on trespassing and weapon charges. Police observed the trio trespassing on a property while wearing all black and carrying firearms. The suspects are believed to be part of a cultlike group known as the Zizians, led by a man named Jack Lasota, who goes by the name “Ziz.” Zajko is also reportedly a member of this group.
The Zizians have been tied to multiple homicides, including the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent near the Canadian border in January, as well as five other murders in different states. Zajko is under investigation for allegedly providing false information in the purchase of guns a year prior to the killings.
Additionally, Zajko’s parents were found shot in their Chester Heights home on December 31, 2022. No arrests have been made in their case, but court documents suggest that Michelle Zajko and one of the other suspects were under investigation for the murders. Zajko has admitted to owning a firearm that matches the type of ammunition found at the crime scene.
The investigation has also led to connections in California and North Carolina, where members of the group are believed to reside. The FBI conducted a search in North Carolina in connection with the case, but details remain limited. The group of young, highly intelligent computer scientists allegedly met online, shared anarchist beliefs, and became increasingly violent, leading to the string of related killings across the country.
