Manchester Transforms into a Winter Wonderland for the 14th Annual Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade
Manchester, VT – The 14th Annual Manchester Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade lit up Main and Bonnet Streets on Saturday, December 7th. The festive display turned downtown into a vibrant winter wonderland, delighting attendees with 32 dazzling floats and tractors adorned in twinkling lights. A gentle snow shower added a magical touch to the evening as families gathered to experience the holiday cheer.
The parade featured a special appearance by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, who brought joy to children and adults alike. Local businesses and organizations showcased their creativity, competing for awards and a $300 cash prize sponsored by the Dead River Company. Winners included the Wilburton Destination Resort for Best Use of Holiday Lights, Northshire Special Olympics & Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home for Best Non-Profit Presentation, and Green Mountain Rock Climbing / Birchstone Property Management for Best Overall Float.
John Burnham, Executive Director of the Manchester Business Association, thanked Mike Baker from Dead River Company for his dedicated 14 years of organizing the event, noting his significant impact on the community. “His commitment to bringing joy and memories to our area during the holiday season will be greatly missed,” remarked Burnham.
The parade owes its success to a collaborative effort involving Dead River Company, the Manchester Business Association, local government, the Manchester Police Department, and the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department.
The festive spirit continues with upcoming events including the Shires Holiday Inn Tours on December 14th and the Santa Express train ride on December 14th and 15th.
