Montpelier, Vermont – In a tragic incident, a 29-year-old man has been accused of murdering his parents at their family home on Gallison Hill Road in Montpelier. The Vermont State Police reported that the disturbing event unfolded early Friday morning.

Emergency services received a 911 call around 11:30 a.m. from Matthew Gomes, who reportedly confessed to harming his family members and requested urgent assistance. Upon arriving at the residence, officers found the bodies of 77-year-old Jerry Gomes and 60-year-old Mary Gomes.
