Urban Search and Rescue Team from Vermont returns from assisting in Kentucky.


Vermont’s Urban Search and Rescue team recently returned from Kentucky after assisting with rescue efforts following tornadoes and severe flooding. Task Force 1, comprised of 18 team members, spent 10 days in Kentucky rescuing both people and animals in need. The team described the experience as rewarding and highlighted the importance of being able to help those in distress. While not every deployment is a high-paced emergency, the team emphasized the significance of routine rescues in the community. Task Force 1 worked alongside other state and federal teams during their time in Kentucky.
