The third annual Drive Fore Kids golf tournament is set to take place at the Falmouth Country Club, with celebrities from sports and entertainment participating to raise funds for local nonprofits like the Dempsey Center and Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. Executive Director Brian Corcoran expressed excitement for the event, which aims to combine fun with making a positive impact in the community. Over two dozen celebrities, including former Boston Red Sox player Jon Lester and actor Brian Baumgartner, will be competing for a prize purse of $265,000. The tournament, scheduled for June 19-22, is also introducing a new Putt-Putt Fore Kids event on May 17th to further support its beneficiaries. Former soccer star Taylor Twellman, a returning celebrity participant, emphasized the importance of giving back to the Maine community and expressed the ease in which he and others are drawn to contribute. The event not only provides an opportunity for a fun golfing experience but also allows attendees to support vital local health organizations.
