April 5th slated for Native Landscaping Program | Lifestyle

The Cass County Conservation Board is hosting a free Native Landscaping Program at two locations on April 5th. The first session will be held at the Atlantic Public Library Community Room in Atlantic at 11 a.m., followed by another session at the Outdoor Educational Classroom south of Massena at 2 p.m. People of all ages are welcome to attend.

During the program, participants will learn about different native plants and how to incorporate them into their yards. The goal is to educate attendees on the benefits of using native plants in landscaping. The event aims to promote a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to gardening.

To reach the Outdoor Educational Classroom in Massena, attendees can take Highway 148 south of Massena, turn left on Tucson Road, follow it east for about two miles, and then make a right-hand turn into the parking lot. Those interested in attending are encouraged to join the discussion and discover the beauty and benefits of native plants in landscaping.

The Native Landscaping Program offers a great opportunity for community members to learn about conservation and sustainable practices in gardening. By incorporating native plants into yards, individuals can help support local ecosystems and wildlife. The Cass County Conservation Board hopes that the event will inspire attendees to make positive changes in their landscaping practices.
