A new book titled “Life Became Very Blurry, An Oral History of COVID-19 in Vermont” is set to be released, capturing the stories of Vermonters during the historic pandemic. More than a hundred state leaders, frontline workers, and regular citizens share their experiences in this book, shedding light on the mindset of Vermonters during this unforgettable period. The book also explores how Vermont handled the epidemic and how it reshaped the state.

Editor Garrett Graff, a bestselling author and historian, collaborated with field historians, including Amanda Gustin of the Vermont Historical Society, to collect and publish this collection of oral histories. The book offers a unique insight into the personal experiences and challenges faced by Vermonters during the COVID-19 pandemic.
