A smoke plume visible over Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida on Saturday was due to a fire in a walk-in cooler behind the France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. The fire was quickly extinguished by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District fire department, with no reported injuries. Park guests and others in the area captured photos and videos of the smoke plume that circulated widely on social media. The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and the pavilion reopened to guests in the early evening.
