BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A search party made up of family, friends, and community members is actively looking for 52-year-old Joseph Gagnon, who has been missing for about a week. His daughter, Brianna Dugan, is pleading for his safe return and has been leading search efforts along the bike path at the Ethan Allen Homestead.
Gagnon went missing after crashing his car and leaving the scene of the accident on Route 127. The family believes he ran into the woods and had planned to run home but never made it. Police have been conducting searches by foot and drone, but so far there have been no signs of Gagnon.
Community members like Shantri Walsh have joined the search efforts, highlighting the strong sense of community in Vermont. The family is urging anyone who sees Gagnon to contact the Burlington Police Department immediately.
For Dugan, the situation is distressing as her father has never gone missing before. She remains hopeful for his safe return and vows to continue searching until he is found.
