The Vermont women’s lacrosse team is set to take on UMass Lowell at Virtue Field in Burlington, VT. Vermont is coming off a historic 24-0 win against CCSU, with Lydia Doraz leading the team with four goals. Doraz currently leads the team with 26 goals this season and ranks highly in free position percentage and points per game in the America East. Vermont also ranks highly in clear percentage and ground balls per game in the conference.
UMass Lowell, with a record of 7-2, will be a tough opponent for Vermont. Chloe Bowers leads the River Hawks in scoring and was named the 2024 America East Rookie of the Year. UMass Lowell Assistant Coach Ava Vasile, who set a program record for career goals at Vermont, will face her former team for the first time.
This will be the 11th meeting between Vermont and UMass Lowell, with Vermont leading the all-time series 7-3. The last time these two teams met, Vermont suffered a 11-16 loss.
