In November 2022, a violent altercation occurred in California resulting in the death of one individual and the arrest of others. In December 2022, a couple was shot and killed in Pennsylvania, leading to the questioning and arrest of individuals in Vermont.
The story continued as a missing person report in Seattle led to a marriage license application in Washington state in 2024. In January 2025, a shootout occurred in Vermont, resulting in the death of a Border Patrol officer and the arrest of the suspects. The FBI later searched a property in North Carolina where the suspects had been living. Several arrests followed in Maryland, with individuals facing charges including trespassing and possession of a handgun in a vehicle. The suspects are being held without bail.
