Lund appoints Liz Gamache as its new president and CEO

Lund, a nonprofit organization based in South Burlington that provides child and family support services, has appointed Liz Gamache as its new president and CEO. Gamache, who previously served as the Mayor of St. Albans and has over 20 years of experience in community and economic development, is honored to join Lund’s team and continue their mission of helping children and families thrive.

Founded as a maternity home, Lund has expanded its services to include adoption, early childhood education, and treatment for substance use disorder and mental health. Gamache is committed to addressing the current challenges and opportunities facing families in Vermont, and believes in adapting with the times to ensure that children and families can succeed. Ken Schatz, who has been serving as Lund’s interim CEO since June 2024, is confident in Gamache’s abilities to continue the momentum built over the last year.

With a focus on breaking cycles of poverty, addiction, and abuse, Lund remains committed to its mission of supporting families and communities in need. Gamache’s extensive experience and collaborative spirit make her a great fit for leading Lund into the future. As the organization continues to evolve and adapt to the changing needs of families, they remain dedicated to helping children and families thrive.
