The United Football League (UFL) is set to launch a new technology-focused innovation division called FAST (Football Advancement through Sports Technology) ahead of the 2025 season. FAST will collaborate with sports media and technology companies to test, develop, and launch products aimed at advancing the game of football.
According to UFL Senior Vice President of Technology Scott Harniman, innovation is a key aspect of the league, and FAST will serve as a blueprint for companies looking to positively impact professional football in terms of gameplay, coaching, and fan engagement.
FAST will focus on three key areas in partnership with various companies to accelerate product development cycles and introduce innovations that can enhance the sport to new heights. UFL Vice President of Football Technology Brad Campbell expressed the ultimate goal of FAST is to introduce innovations and services that can elevate the game of football.
The 2025 UFL season is slated to begin on March 28 with a matchup between the St. Louis Battlehawks and the Houston Roughnecks, which will be broadcast on FOX. With the introduction of FAST, the UFL is poised to embrace cutting-edge technologies and media partnerships to enhance the football experience for players and fans alike.
