Christmas in July: Weston Theater Company Reveals 89th Season

Weston Theater Company is gearing up for its 89th season with a lineup of productions that celebrate the spirit of Vermont. From June to October, performances will be held at Weston’s Walker Farm Theater, offering a variety of shows that promise to entertain audiences of all ages.

The season kicks off with “Almost Heaven,” a tribute to American musical icon John Denver featuring his chart-topping hits. This will be followed by Irving Berlin’s classic “White Christmas,” a heartwarming tale set in a struggling Vermont inn. In August, the regional premiere of “A Distinct Society” will explore themes of love, migration, and finding home in a Vermont-based play.

For family fun, Weston will present free Young Company performances of “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus: The Musical,” based on the popular children’s book series. The season will conclude with “The Twelfth Night Show,” a comedy featuring mistaken identities and romantic misadventures set against the backdrop of staging a production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.”

New subscriptions for Weston’s 89th season will be available starting March 26, with single tickets on sale from April 16. Discounted tickets are available for students, children, and Vermont residents with a Vermont ID. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience the magic of live theater in the heart of Vermont this summer and fall.
