VDTM Launches Strategic Planning Stakeholder Survey
The Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM) has teamed up with the Coraggio Group to initiate the Strategic Planning Stakeholder Survey, part of the process to create Vermont’s first Destination Management Strategic Plan. Stakeholders are invited to provide their perspectives on the visitor economy in Vermont, including challenges, opportunities, and priorities. The survey aims to ensure that the strategic plan is comprehensive and inclusive of community needs.
Move Forward Together Vermont Report Unveiled
Vermont has introduced Move Forward Together Vermont, a strategic vision for the state’s outdoor recreation economy for the next five years. The report was developed with input from over 2,500 residents, business owners, planners, and users, shaping the future of outdoor recreation in Vermont. Collaboration from all sectors is crucial for the plan’s success.
Upcoming Events in Vermont Tourism
The 40th Annual Vermont Tourism Summit is set to take place on April 28-29 at Hotel Champlain. This gathering will bring together tourism professionals to network and learn industry best practices. Additionally, a statewide Visitor Profile Study is underway to understand Vermont visitors’ characteristics, behavior, and perceptions, supporting VDTM’s destination marketing strategies.
Tourism Economy Day is scheduled for April 10, offering an opportunity for industry leaders to connect with legislators. The Travel+Recreation Council will also meet on March 20 for the latest industry news and initiatives.
