Two Rome City Schools students recently achieved success at the Georgia Student Technology Competition, with Main Elementary’s Jonathan Attiglo placing second in the state in device modification in the third and fourth grade division, and East Central’s Paelyn Peck placing third in the state in productivity design in the same division.
In addition to Attiglo and Peck, other Rome City Schools students who participated in the state competition included Yaretzi Hernandez from Elm Street, and Samuel Ramirez Rojas and Stefany Pelico from West Central.
John Fricks, the Director of Instructional Technology, Safety, and Operations, expressed pride in the students for their hard work and dedication to the competition. Following the district technology competition held in December, it was clear that there were many impressive projects advancing to the regional level.
Attiglo and Peck’s achievements showcase the talent and potential of Rome City Schools students when it comes to technology and innovation. The students have demonstrated their skills and creativity in a competitive environment, highlighting the strong emphasis on technology education within the school district.
Overall, the success of these students at the state level of the Georgia Student Technology Competition reflects positively on the dedication and hard work of both the students and their teachers. The Rome City Schools community is proud of their accomplishments and looks forward to seeing what these young minds will achieve in the future.
