Despite Shamir Bogues leaving the game due to injury, the team rallied together with Hurley shining on the court. Sean Blake also made significant contributions in Shamir’s absence. Coach praised the team’s resilient effort and highlighted their strong performance in the crucial moments of the game. The Catamounts outshot and outrebounded UMBC, showcasing their dominance on both ends of the court.
Hurley finished with 23 points, Alamutu had 14 points, and Ileri Ayo-Faleye added 11 points. Blake also impressed with a career-high six assists, while Ayo-Faleye led in blocks. Vermont Mutual Insurance will be donating $100 to the Lund Center following the team’s win.
