Maine emerges victorious over Vermont in Friday night matchup


In a Hockey East matchup, No. 5 Maine defeated Vermont with a final score of 4-1, with Taylor Makar posting a hat trick for the Black Bears. The game saw Maine dominating from the start, opening the scoring on a power play in the first period. Vermont had opportunities to equalize, including a five-on-three power play, but Maine’s defense held strong.
