The Vermont Junior Archers JOAD Road Team program, based at Pelkey’s Archery in St. Albans, recently competed in two tournaments in Fiskdale, Massachusetts. The team traveled to compete in the USA Archery JOAD Indoor Nationals and the 56th USA Archery Indoor Nationals. The Vermont Junior Archers JOAD program includes both the Road Team and Junior Road Team, with students enrolled in JOAD classes ranging from ages 5-20. The team travels to national tournaments during the indoor archery season from December to mid-April.
At the USA Archery JOAD Indoor Nationals, team members excelled in various divisions with notable performances from Logan Vanslette, Eli Duhamel, Cicely Duhamel, Emma French, Cassidy Morrison-Jodoin, and Evan Rodriguez. The 56th USA Archery Indoor Nationals saw impressive performances from Logan Vanslette, Cecily Duhamel, Caleb Bourdeau, Cassidy Morrison-Jodoin, and Evan Rodriguez.
In upcoming local tournaments at Pelkey’s Archery, the community is invited to participate in the Adult/Youth Tournament on March 14-15 and the Oddy 450 Tournament on April 5. Registration is open to the public, and spectators are welcome to attend.
