The 2025 Vermont high school wrestling state championships are set to take place this Friday and Saturday at the Barre Auditorium. Mount Anthony, with a national record of 35 consecutive team state championships, will be the team to beat at the event.
Last year’s top five teams, in addition to Mount Anthony, were Spaulding, Colchester, Otter Valley, and Middlebury. Individual seeds for this year’s championships have been announced, with Brayden Buchanan of Essex leading in the 106-pound category, Mason Sheltra of Colchester in the 113-pound category, and Eion Comes of North Country in the 120-pound category, among other top seeds in various weight classes.
Competition is expected to be fierce as wrestlers from various schools vie for the state titles in their respective weight classes. Fans can expect an action-packed weekend of intense matchups and displays of athletic prowess.
