Vermont Catamounts to Face New Hampshire Wildcats in Couple’s Game at Patrick Gym
The Vermont Catamounts (13-11) are gearing up to take on the New Hampshire Wildcats (6-19) in an America East Conference clash at Patrick Gym. The game, scheduled for Thursday evening at 7 p.m. ET, will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
In addition to the game, Thursday night’s matchup will also feature the Catamount Couples Game presented by Claussen’s Florist Greenhouse and Perennial Farm. Dunkin’ will be providing coffee samples and Valentine’s Day treats, and fans will have the chance to win $5,000 in a full-court putt at halftime, courtesy of McGee Family Automotive. There will also be a $500 giveaway to Dunkin’.
The Catamounts are coming off a 68-62 victory against UAlbany, with players TJ Hurley, Nick Fiorillo, and Shamir Bogues leading the team in scoring. Hurley, who averages 15.4 points per game, ranks 9th in the nation and 1st in the America East in free throw percentage.
On the defensive side, Vermont boasts the 24th best scoring defense in the country, allowing just 65.2 points per game. They also excel at defending the three-point line, holding opponents to 31.6% shooting from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats are coming off an 80-69 win against NJIT, with guard Sam Pissis and rookie Khali Badru leading the team in scoring.
Vermont currently sits in 3rd place in the America East standings, while New Hampshire is in 7th place. The Catamounts will look to extend their winning streak against the Wildcats, with Vermont having won 22 straight matchups against New Hampshire.
