In a thrilling matchup on Saturday night, the University of Vermont women’s hockey team secured a statement win against #13 Boston University with a score of 3-2. Kyla Bent scored the game-winning goal early in the final period, while Sydney Correa made 20 saves in an outstanding performance. Head Coach Jim Plumer praised the team’s effort and resilience, highlighting the contributions of goal scorers Kyla Bent, Lara Beecher, and Oona Havana.
The game started with Boston University taking the lead within seconds, but Vermont quickly responded with a goal from Havana to tie the game. Despite BU regaining the lead, Vermont fought back with Beecher’s goal to even the score at 2-2.
