The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center, under the Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, is offering a new grant for existing dairy processors in the Northeast. The Dairy Co-Packing Grant is aimed at supporting licensed dairy processors and brands looking to engage in co-packing arrangements. The grant is open to dairy processors seeking to start new co-packing arrangements, as well as those with existing services looking to grow, add new products, or expand partnerships. Dairy brands planning to scale current co-packing or initiate new arrangements are also eligible.
Grant funds can be used for specialized equipment, marketing services, food safety improvements, and contract fees associated with establishing a new co-packing relationship. At least 10% of the grant must be used for training or technical assistance related to co-packing. The application for the grant will be open from February 11th to April 3rd, with awards ranging from $15,000 to $150,000 with a 25% match contribution required.
