The Vermont Sports Hall of Fame has announced its 2025 inductees, which includes a diverse group of athletes, coaches, and broadcasters. Among the honorees are world champion horseshoe pitcher Debra Brown, Olympic ski jumper Jim Holland, record-setting soccer player Kyle Dezotell, and award-winning broadcaster Jack Healey. The inductees will be formally honored at the 2025 Vermont Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Celebration in April.
The class of 2025 also includes gymnastics champion Nini Wuensch Anger, high school and collegiate football star Bill Looker, basketball sharp shooter Tony Orciari, and legendary coaches Connie LaRose and Frank Pecora. The late Leo Papineau will be honored as the VSHOF Historical Inductee for his contributions to sports in Vermont.
Ticket information for the induction dinner will be available on the VSHOF website, with proceeds going to Prevent Child Abuse Vermont. The Vermont Sports Hall of Fame aims to honor those who have made significant contributions to the state’s sports legacy, while also inspiring and promoting sports and recreation to the youth of Vermont.
With a total of 143 inductees since its inception in 2012, the Vermont Sports Hall of Fame continues to grow and represent athletes from across the state. Nominations are accepted year-round, with the selection process involving a board of directors, sports advisory panel, and previous inductees.
