Binghamton Bearcats Women’s Basketball Team Suffers 68-54 Loss to Bryant

The Binghamton Bearcats (11-9, 3-4 AE) faced a tough defeat against Bryant, losing 68-54 with junior guard Kaia Goode leading the team with 12 points. Despite the loss, sophomore guard Bella Pucci contributed 11 points, eight rebounds, and four steals, while Yanniah Boyd added 10 points and six rebounds.

Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz leads the Bearcats in scoring, ranking 13th in the America East with 10.2 points per game. Pucci ranks eighth in the conference with 5.5 rebounds per game. Binghamton leads the America East in steals with 8.8 per game, ranking second in rebounding with 35.3 per game and fourth in scoring defense with 58.6 points per game.

On the other hand, Vermont (11-10, 6-1 AE) had a convincing 67-44 victory over UMBC, with Sarah Ericson leading the Catamounts with 15 points and eight rebounds. Catherine Gilwee, Anna Olson, and Nikola Priede also scored in double figures. Olson ranks fourth in the America East in scoring with 13.8 points per game, while Gilwee leads the conference in assists with 4.0 per game.

Vermont ranks second in assists, blocks, and scoring defense, while Binghamton sits at fourth in scoring, rebounds, and steals. Vermont leads the all-time series with Binghamton 30-18, with their most recent victory being 55-46 earlier this season. The Bearcats’ last win against Vermont was a 66-57 triumph in 2024.
