Charges dropped in incident involving Jason Kelce smashing phone

[ad_1]
Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce will not face charges for an altercation outside Penn State University’s Beaver Stadium last month. The incident occurred during a football game when a fan used a homophobic slur against Kelce’s brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Video footage showed Kelce grabbing and smashing the man’s phone before walking away, while also repeating the slur back to the person. Penn State’s police and public safety department closed the case, as no one has come forward with a complaint about property damage. Kelce apologized for his actions on ESPN, stating that he regrets responding with hate in the heat of the moment. He has been working as a commentator for ESPN since retiring from professional football. ESPN has not commented on the situation.
