Popular Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has taken the top spot on the UK list of the Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World for 2024. The 40-year-old star beat out last year’s winner Shah Rukh Khan with his successful live tour and box-office hits. Dosanjh was recognized for not only his hit songs but also his international collaborations and acting skills. He made history with his performance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and proudly promoted his Punjabi culture. Other notable mentions in the list include Allu Arjun in third place for his record-breaking film Pushpa: The Rule, Dev Patel in fourth place for his writing, directing, producing, and starring in the hit film Monkey Man, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in fifth place for her high-profile projects. The list also includes actor Vijay in sixth place, singer Arijit Singh in seventh, and Amitabh Bachchan as the oldest star at 82 years old. The youngest star on the list is 17-year-old actress Nitanshi Goel for her performance in India’s official Oscar entry, Laapataa Ladies. The Top 50 Asian Celebrities in the World list celebrates South Asian stars who have made a significant impact in the entertainment industry in 2024.
