The Vermont Catamounts women’s basketball team secured a decisive 74-57 victory over Manhattan, hitting double digits in three-pointers for the first time since 2022. Head Coach Alisa Kresge praised the team’s confidence and performance in front of their home fans. Anna Olson, Catherine Gilwee, and Bella Vito led the scoring for Vermont, with strong contributions from other players like Keira Hanson and Sarah Ericson. The Catamounts showcased solid defense with steals and blocked shots, including a career-high three blocks from Hanson.
Coach Kresge was honored for her 100th career win at Vermont before the game, becoming the fourth head coach in program history to reach this milestone. The team’s shooting was on point, with a season-high 12 three-pointers and a perfect free-throw performance for the first time this season. Vermont’s next game is against Quinnipiac on December 15, which will be streamed live on ESPN+.
