Annual Membership Luncheon Hosted by the International Oleander Society at Seaside Scenes

The International Oleander Society held its annual membership luncheon on Oct. 30 at Moody Gardens Hotel, where new officers for 2025 were elected. The event was sponsored by Moody Bank, HomeTown Bank, and others. Guests enjoyed a meal provided by Moody Gardens and listened to speakers who discussed the society’s past, present, and future. Special guests included descendants of families responsible for bringing the oleander to Galveston. The Betty Head Oleander Garden Park was highlighted, located at 2624 Sealy, and the public was invited to visit. Lydia Miller will remain on the board as the immediate past president.
