Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign significantly outpaced President-elect Donald Trump’s in fundraising and spending leading up to the 2024 election, raising $160 million and spending $277 million in the final month. Much of this spending was focused on media buys, voter outreach, and high-profile events with celebrities like BeyoncĂ© and Katy Perry. The campaign continued to raise millions from small-dollar donors even after the election, leading to scrutiny and questions about the finances and debt. Harris’ super PAC, Future Forward, raised over $163 million and ended with $47 million in debt. In contrast, Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., raised $347 million with no debt at the end. Other pro-Trump groups, like America PAC and Preserve America, also raised significant funds from prominent donors in the final days. The Democratic National Committee ended with over $47 million after receiving contributions from the Harris campaign and its affiliated committees. Overall, Harris’ campaign and super PACs raised and spent more than their Republican counterparts, showcasing the significant financial support behind her bid for the presidency.
