Vermont Women’s Lacrosse Launches 2025 Season Schedule
BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont Catamounts women’s lacrosse team has unveiled its 2025 regular season schedule, where they aim to build on their recent success in the America East Tournament, having qualified in three of the last four seasons.
The Catamounts will compete in a 15-game slate, including matchups against three NCAA Tournament participants from the previous year. The season kicks off on February 9 as Vermont travels to Jacksonville University in Florida for an opening contest, followed by another away game against Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, on February 15.
Vermont’s home opener is set for February 23 at Virtue Field against Marist, a team they defeated 13-10 last season. Following this, the Catamounts will embark on a challenging road stretch, starting with a trip to Fairfield on February 26, where they face a team that experienced postseason play last year.
As the season progresses, Vermont will also play against notable opponents including Brown, Siena, and LIU, before commencing conference play against UAlbany on March 15. The Catamounts will host Central Connecticut State University on March 18 and UMass Lowell on March 22—a critical juncture as they aim to position themselves for a strong run in the America East.
Vermont’s late-season schedule includes a senior day matchup against UNH on April 12 and a contest against Bryant on April 19. The 2025 regular season will conclude on April 26 at UMBC.
Returning players Anna Rosenberger and Sabine Godwin, members of the America East All-Rookie Team, will bolster the team alongside newly appointed captains.
