Top 5 Vermont high school football rankings leading into state championships

In an exciting matchup, the No. 1 ranked Champlain Valley Union will face off against the No. 2 ranked Rutland for the Vermont Division I state championship this Saturday. Champlain Valley Union, looking for their second state title in three years, will take on Rutland, who hasn’t been in a championship game since 2018.

In Division II, Rice Memorial will be playing for their first state championship since 2014, going up against Fair Haven. Fair Haven’s last championship game appearance was in 2018, and they will be looking to secure their first title since 2017.

Division III will see Woodstock competing for their first championship since 2019, facing Otter Valley who last won a state title in 2015. The games will take place at St. Johnsbury Academy, with Rice Memorial vs. Fair Haven at 11 a.m., Woodstock vs. Otter Valley at 2 p.m., and Champlain Valley vs. Rutland at 5 p.m.
