Ordering the top Secret Santa gifts (and the least favorable)

[ad_1]
The holiday season is upon us, and for many workplace environments, that means it’s time for Secret Santa. But what are the best (and worst) gifts to give your co-workers this year? A recent survey by InstantPrint has revealed some key insights to help guide your gift-giving decisions.

According to the survey, chocolates and sweets are the most popular ideal gifts for Secret Santa, followed by gift vouchers and homemade gifts. Scented candles may be a hit with some, but be cautious as not everyone may appreciate them. Alcohol can be a tricky gift choice, as it may be well-received by some but not by others who don’t drink for various reasons.

It’s important to avoid gifts that are divisive or inappropriate for a corporate setting. Toys, stuffed animals, and items with sexual connotations should be avoided, as well as personal care products, makeup, or cosmetics, which 32% of office workers surveyed don’t like receiving from a colleague.

Despite the challenges of finding the perfect gift, the survey also found that the sentiment of giving is what truly matters. Seven in 10 employees say they get more pleasure from giving a gift to their Secret Santa recipient than from receiving one themselves. And if you receive a gift you don’t like, you can always donate it to charity, like 42% of those surveyed do.

While the rise of remote working may be impacting the tradition of Secret Santa in some workplaces, with logistical issues and a decline in team spirit cited as concerns, 30% of office workers are still keen to participate in the festive fun this year. So, whether you’re shopping for chocolates or gift vouchers, remember that a well-chosen gift is always appreciated during the holiday season.
