Vermont Men’s Basketball will be taking on the Merrimack Warriors in North Andover, Mass. on November 9 at 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and on the Vermont Sports Network. Vermont is coming off a strong start to the season, with TJ Hurley, Noah Barnett, Ileri Ayo-Faleye, Gavin Perryman, and Shy Odom all making notable contributions. The Catamounts were also selected as the number one team in the America East Preseason Poll.
The Warriors, on the other hand, are beginning their season and will be playing their first game as a member of the MAAC conference. They had a successful season last year, finishing second in NEC regular season play and boasting a strong defensive record. Vermont and Merrimack faced off last year, with Vermont coming out on top with a 67-55 victory.
Merrimack is predicted to finish 6th in the MAAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Keep an eye out for sophomore guard Adam “Budd” Clark, who won NEC Rookie of the Year last season, and forward Bryan Etumnu, who was named NEC Most Improved Player of the Year. It is bound to be an exciting matchup between these two talented teams.
