Cultivate Launches Roots & Blossoms Fund to Empower Arts Access for Vermont Youth

Burlington, VT – December 2, 2024 – Cultivate, a woman-owned public relations agency based in Vermont, has announced the launch of its Roots & Blossoms Fund, a new initiative dedicated to enhancing arts access and cultural programs for underserved youth in the state. CEO Alexandra Tursi has pledged 1% of the agency’s annual revenue to support this initiative, inspired by the "1% for the Planet" model.

The Roots & Blossoms Fund aims to foster creative growth among young Vermonters by providing financial and in-kind support to nonprofit organizations. Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded to 501(c)(3) organizations working to inspire youth to explore their artistic potential. Additionally, Cultivate will offer services to help these organizations amplify their messages and expand their outreach.

"Through Roots & Blossoms, we demonstrate our commitment to making the arts accessible to all young Vermonters," Tursi stated. "We aim to inspire the next generation of storytellers while investing in Vermont’s vibrant cultural future."

The fund focuses on four key areas: increasing access to the arts for underserved communities, promoting arts education and literacy, fostering cultural community building, and empowering creative expression among young artists.

Nonprofits serving youth aged 0-18 in Vermont are encouraged to apply for support. The application period for the 2025 grant cohort is currently open, with more details available at cultivatepr.co/roots-blossoms.

Cultivate, founded in 2019, specializes in storytelling through various communication platforms and is dedicated to driving positive change. As a member of the Women Business Owners Network of Vermont and Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, Cultivate continues to prioritize impactful narratives that uplift communities across the state.
