Burlington Man Arrested After Snowy Crash in Underhill

Underhill, VT — A Burlington resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a single-vehicle accident late Saturday evening on Mountain Road, which was slick with snow and ice.

According to Vermont State Police, Keanu Bradley-VonDiez, 27, lost control of his 2018 Chevy Suburban while driving westward at a low speed. At around 9:39 p.m., the vehicle slid off the road and overturned onto its side. Fortunately, Bradley-VonDiez was wearing his seatbelt, which likely reduced the severity of his injuries. He sustained minor injuries and was promptly transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center by Richmond Rescue for evaluation.

During the ensuing investigation, law enforcement uncovered an active warrant for Bradley-VonDiez’s arrest related to a previous failure to appear in court. As a result, he was ordered to be held without bail and was taken to the Northwestern Correctional Facility. The right side of his vehicle suffered significant damage in the crash.

Bradley-VonDiez is set to appear before the Chittenden County Superior Court on December 2 at 8:30 a.m. This incident underscores the dangers of driving in winter weather conditions and the importance of remaining cautious on roadways that may be hazardous due to snow and ice.

Authorities remind drivers to stay vigilant and ensure their vehicles are equipped for winter driving. The Vermont State Police continue to encourage safe driving practices to prevent accidents during adverse weather conditions.
