Press Release: Domestic Assault Arrest in Weathersfield
Weathersfield, VT – November 30, 2024 – The Vermont State Police reported the arrest of 40-year-old Jessika Nelson of Weathersfield on charges of domestic assault following an incident on Airport Road. Troopers responded to a call about an assault and subsequently launched an investigation, which led to Nelson’s arrest without incident.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 PM, prompting police to take immediate action. Nelson was taken into custody and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing. Following this, she was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility where she is being held on a $500 bail.
As part of the court protocol, Nelson has been issued conditions of release and a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, scheduled for December 2, 2024, at 12:30 PM. Victim identities have not been disclosed in compliance with policies regarding domestic violence cases.
The Vermont State Police encourage the community to report any incidents of domestic violence and remind individuals that assistance is available through various local resources.
