Ryggs Johnston, a 20-year-old professional golfer from Libby, Montana, has quickly risen to stardom in the golf world. With a passion for the sport that began at a young age, Johnston has honed his skills with the support of his family, including his father, a former college athlete, and his mother, who has been a guiding light in his career. Tiger Woods is his golfing hero, and he credits his success to the strong work ethic instilled in him by his parents.
After graduating from Arizona State University with a management degree and a certificate in sports business, Johnston turned professional in 2024. He made his debut on the PGA Tour Americas and eventually earned a full-time card on the DP World Tour for the upcoming season after an exceptional 21-under finish at the final stage of the Q-school.
Johnston has already made a name for himself on the DP World Tour, finishing tied for 43rd at the 2024 BMW Australian PGA Championship and leading the pack heading into the final round of the Australian Open. His journey into professional golf has been marked by both challenges and successes, and he is quickly becoming a rising star to watch in the golf world.
