Holiday Celebrations Kick Off in Northern New York and Vermont Amid Snowy Weather
As Thanksgiving wraps up, festive events are gearing up across Northern New York and Vermont this weekend. This kid-friendly event features Whoville crafts, open play, and an all-day screening of "The Grinch," with entry priced at $10 for ages 3 to 11.
Meanwhile, Saranac Lake will host a tree lighting event where locals celebrate creativity by decorating trees from various artists and individuals. Visitors can sample snacks and warm drinks from 4 PM to 7 PM at 24 Cedar Street, free for all ages.
In Waitsfield, "A General Wait Christmas" invites guests to experience holiday traditions of 1793 from 4 PM to 8 PM. The historic venue promises caroler performances and holiday cheer, with donations encouraged for the historical society.
Additionally, the Festival of the Trees in St. Albans kicks off with a tree lighting from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, featuring festive activities and opportunities to meet Santa Claus.
Wilmington’s Santa’s Workshop invites families to a Village of Lights on Sunday, with fun activities including caroling and visits to Santa’s reindeer, running through December.
