Lawson’s Finest Liquids Celebrates GivingTuesday with $75,000 Donation to Local Nonprofits
WAITSFIELD, VT (Nov. 27, 2024) – Lawson’s Finest Liquids is once again demonstrating its commitment to community support by announcing its 2024 GivingTuesday initiative, donating $75,000 to 54 nonprofit organizations through its “Sip of Support” program. This annual event, celebrated on GivingTuesday, highlights the brewery’s dedication to fostering positive change in Vermont. Donations will range up to $5,000 and will back various causes, including community health, recreation, and senior services.
Carra Cheslin, Social Impact Program Manager, expressed pride in supporting Vermont nonprofits: “As a purpose-driven company, giving back to our community is central to our mission.” Recipients include organizations such as Hannah’s House, Mad River Path, and Just Basics, Inc. More about the beneficiaries can be found at lawsonsfinest.com/giving-tuesday-2024.
In addition to the Sip of Support, Lawson’s Finest has revealed the recipients of its 2025 Sunshine Fund, which provides financial support to local charitable organizations. Staff members at the brewery’s taproom receive a living wage, allowing guests to donate to the Sunshine Fund instead of tipping. Each selected recipient benefits directly from customer contributions for two weeks. Notable 2025 Sunshine Fund recipients include the Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity and Kidsafe Collaborative.
CEO Adeline Druart emphasized Vermont’s spirit of community, stating, "These small efforts can result in meaningful impact.” Lawson’s Finest encourages everyone to partake in community-building activities, whether through donations or volunteering.
With its Social Impact Program having raised over $2 million since 2018, Lawson’s Finest has proven its dedication to meaningful community engagement while crafting award-winning beers, including the popular Sunshine family of IPAs.
