The University of Vermont Athletic Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2024 inductees, who will be honored at a ceremony on September 27. The five honorees include Sydney Mas ’14, Jonathan Nordbotten ’14, Nika Ouellette ’14, Kate Ryley ’14, and Brian Voelkel ’14. Tickets for the event can be purchased at go.uvm.edu/hoftix.
Sydney Mas set multiple records in women’s lacrosse during her time at UVM and currently works as a Vice President at a real estate private equity firm. Jonathan Nordbotten won an NCAA National Championship in alpine skiing and also earned a Bronze Medal at the PyeongChang Olympics. Nika Ouellette achieved All-American status in javelin and now works in marketing for a sports technology startup.
Kate Ryley posted numerous podium appearances and NCAA regional championships in alpine skiing while Brian Voelkel became the only player in NCAA Division I men’s basketball history with over 1,000 rebounds and 600 assists. Voelkel now resides in California and runs a youth basketball program.
