Vermont Women’s Soccer remains undefeated on the road with a 2-1 victory over Sacred Heart. Kate Bossert scored her third goal of the season, and Bailey Ayer assisted Sydney Remington for her first goal. Despite Sacred Heart’s goal in the second half, Vermont was able to hold on for their third consecutive win. The Catamounts outshot Sacred Heart 18-12 and 9-4 in shots on goal. With the win, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation, part of their Cats Win, Community Wins initiative. Next, the Catamounts will face Stonehill on September 15 in their non-conference finale. The game will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row.
In other news, University of Vermont Athletics has partnered with Nike and BSN Sports to provide sport-specific gear to fans. The women’s soccer store will be open until September 16, with proceeds benefiting the program’s enhancement fund. Fans can support UVM athletics while purchasing quality athletic apparel.
