Animal rights extremist wanted for bombings in the U.S. captured in Wales after evading authorities for over two decades

Animal rights extremist, Daniel Andreas San Diego, suspected of being behind two bombings in Northern California over twenty years ago, was captured in Wales by North Wales Police and the NCA on Monday. FBI Director Christopher Wray applauded San Diego’s capture, stating that he would finally be held accountable for the violence and destruction he caused. San Diego is believed to have been responsible for two homemade pipe bombs that exploded at Chiron Corp and Shaklee Corp in 2003. The FBI linked the bombings to San Diego due to his opposition to animal experimentation conducted by the companies. San Diego, a vegan and computer network specialist, had been on the run since the attacks. Luckily, no one was injured in the blasts. Chiron Corp was later acquired by Novartis AG, while Shaklee Corporation stated that they do not conduct any animal testing on their products. The FBI emphasized that violence and destruction are not the right ways to express one’s views in the country. The investigation into San Diego’s activities is ongoing, and updates will be provided as the story develops.
