Beyoncé is set to perform at the halftime show for the Christmas Day matchup between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, which will be livestreamed on Netflix. This will mark the first time Netflix streams an NFL Christmas gameday contest. Beyoncé’s fans, also known as the BeyHive, can expect to hear songs from her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” as well as special guests featured on the Grammy-nominated album. The streaming service announced the performance, teasing a surprise element and hinting at a collaboration with artists like Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus. Before the announcement, there were concerns about Netflix’s ability to handle live sporting events following issues during a recent boxing match event. Beyoncé has previously performed at two Super Bowl halftime shows and her upcoming performance has fans excited. Netflix hopes to make holiday matchups a tradition and has a contract with the NFL to livestream select games through 2026. The Christmas Day games to be livestreamed include the Kansas City Chiefs vs Pittsburgh Steelers game at 1 p.m. ET and the Texans vs Ravens game at 4:30 p.m. ET.
