BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Holy Cross women’s basketball team suffered a 67-50 loss to Vermont in a nonconference matchup on Saturday. The Crusaders were led by Kaitlyn Flanagan, Simone Foreman, and Kendall Eddy, who each scored 12 points. Vermont’s Anna Olson and Keira Hanson led the way with 19 and 17 points, respectively. The game saw Holy Cross struggle with turnovers and rebounding, as Vermont outrebounded them and forced 17 turnovers, with 13 coming in the first half. Despite a late push in the fourth quarter, the Crusaders were unable to overcome the deficit.
The loss dropped Holy Cross to a 2-2 record for the season. The team will look to bounce back as they end their four-game road trip with a game against Massachusetts on Wednesday. The upcoming game is scheduled for 6 p.m.
