Jess Borrevik, Chief Technology Officer for ICF’s energy, environment, and infrastructure group, has been announced as a finalist for the Cloud Executive of the Year, Public Company category at the 2024 Pinnacle Awards. Borrevik has led efforts to accelerate the adoption of cloud and advanced technologies to address challenges faced by federal, state, local, and utility clients in the energy, environment, and infrastructure sectors.
In 2024, Borrevik spearheaded the integration of several ICF technologies into the cloud and ensured they are built for the AI/GenAI future. One notable achievement is the development of ClimateSight®, an AWS cloud- and AI-enabled solution that allows climate analysts to project climate and weather impacts for specific communities faster and more efficiently. Other technologies include EnergyInsite® for renewable energy siting, PowerGuide Fleets® for fleet electrification, and DisasTRAX® for disaster recovery grants management.
Looking ahead, Borrevik emphasizes the importance of evolving cloud capabilities to provide clients with complex insights faster, more accessible data, and readiness for an AI future. His career advice includes continuous learning, sharing career objectives with leaders, and developing strong people skills.
A fun fact about Borrevik is his love for spending time with his kids, participating in activities like backyard football and XBOX football with his son, and supporting his daughter in regional acting and musical performances.
