Killington Resort in Vermont concluded a successful 2024 Mountain Bike season, offering more than 80 days of lift-accessed downhill action. The season featured a new learning zone and targeted adult skills clinics, as well as popular women’s “Divas of Dirt” rides and the largest Fox US Open of Mountain Biking to date. The resort plans to expand its trail offerings in the summer of 2025 with a new trail serviced by the Ramshead Express Quad, part of a $30 million investment from its new independent ownership.
The new trail will span over 2 miles with an intermediate pitch and be rated blue (more difficult), featuring natural terrain jumps, wooden features, and the option for riders to switch between trails. Bike Park manager Taylor Zink is excited about the expansion, hoping to break ground in the spring and open sections of the new trail before the season ends. Killington Resort, known as “The Beast of the East,” offers a variety of outdoor activities across six peaks, including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and golf. With a commitment to investment, quality, and the environment, Killington remains a must-visit destination for the whole family.
