Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, is offering $100 to registered Pennsylvania voters who sign a conservative-leaning petition supporting free speech and the right to bear arms. The offer is also available to those who refer others to sign the petition, with checks being mailed to voter addresses on file in Pennsylvania. Musk’s America PAC released the petition, which supports the First and Second amendments of the Constitution. Musk, who previously vowed to stay apolitical, has been vocal in urging swing state voters in Pennsylvania to vote for former President Donald Trump, stating that the 2024 election will determine the fate of America and Western civilization. Musk has endorsed Trump and donated $75 million to his pro-Trump super PAC. He has also hosted town hall events in Pennsylvania and paid for ads on social media platforms to encourage voter registration in swing states. Despite controversies surrounding the website used for voter registration, election officials in Michigan and North Carolina have not found evidence of state campaign finance law violations. Musk, who has a significant following on social media, has been criticized for spreading false and inflammatory claims, particularly about immigration, free speech, and voter fraud.
